tojasiras, himzes. Az oktatok neves magyarorszagi es vajdasagi
szakemberek. A tabor reszveteli dija 50 DEM-nek megfelelo
dinarertek.

Dance to live music with Jómóka and Névtelen! Beginners welcome. (Refreshments are also welcome; there's both a refrigerator and freezer if you want to bring something cold.)

Directions from Seattle Center:
Take Denny Way (the first street directly south of the Space Needle) west a few blocks, where it veers right (northwest) to merge with Elliott Ave, which in turn veers right again (north) to merge with 15th Ave West. Continue north on 15th Ave West, crossing the Ballard Bridge after 1-2 miles (at which point the street becomes 15th Ave. Northwest) until you reach NW 65th.
Turn left (west) on NW 65th and go 8 blocks west to 23rd NW. The church is on your right (north); turn right on 23rd NW and park either in the angle parking on the right or the church parking lot on the left.
Directions from I-5:
Get off on NE 45th exit. Go west on NE 45th for 3-4 miles, staying on the main road as it squiggles its way west and slightly north to
eventually become Market Street when it reaches Ballard. After going over Phinney Ridge (the only big hill on the route), you'll be in the Northwest part of town. After coming down from Phinney Ridge, the main cross streets are 3rd Ave NW, 8th Ave NW, and 15th Ave NW. Turn right (north) onto 15th Ave. NW and follow directions above (last 2 sentences) to the church.
Please note: This Táncház is NOT the official Folklife táncház (that will take place on Saturday, May 23, 6-8pm at the Seattle Center, with teaching from 5-6pm).

About Arpád Park
This facility is owned by the Niagara Peninsula Canadian Hungarian Cultural and Sports Centre and has been in operation since 1978. It features 34 acres of land with an outdoor covered pavilion and stage. there are ample facilities for camping and recreational activities, and includes a small club house with cooking and shower facilities. Our brand new Arpád Hall with a seating capacity for 500 persons is located on one corner of this property -- only 10 minutes from Niagara Falls.

Adults: $90.00 full fee to be paid by June 7, 1998 (after June 7, $100)
 
Juniors: Individual Registration $205.00
Families with 2 or more children $185 per camper (includes camp tee-shirt)
After June 7 $225 or $205 for each camper for families with 2 or more children
 
Intermediates: Individual Registration $250
Families with 2 or more children $230 per camper (includes camp tee-shirt)

Hungarian Folkdance Symposium June 21-28, 1998 - Pittsburgh PA Area
The SZASZCSAVAS ENSEMBLE of 8 gypsy musicians, dancers and singers will be coming to the North American continent this Summer. They will be here from June 1 till July 1. They will hold concerts on the east Coast and will be one of the two bands at the Hungarian Folkdance and Folk Music Symposium in the Pittsburgh area from June 21 to June 28.
We will teach the Music, dance and songs from the village of Szaszcsavas, right from the original source. We will be guided by dance teachers of excellence from Jaszbareny: Szucs Gabor and his wife Mariann. An event not to be missed. Call: Kalman Magyar 201-826-4869


Baratsag Hungarian Dance and Music Camp Mendocino, California - July 5-11, 1998
Come to Baratsag 1998! Share in the Tanchaz movement in a rustic, village- like setting amid the giant coastal redwoods of Northen California.
Baratsag is pleased to welcome Zsolt Szilagyi and Marianna Ujlaki to Baratsag and their United States debut. Zsolt is artistic director and choreographer of the Nyirseg Folk Dance Ensemble (Nyiregyhaza) and actively involved in
dance research throughout the Hungarian language territories. Marianna is recipient of the Golden Pearl Lifetime Achievement Award for a Female Dancer. They will be teaching dances from the Szilagysag region.
 
Music will be presented by Somogy, a band made up of former members of Zengo: Cilla Freppan, vocals and gardon; Eva Molnar, vocals and kontra; Marton Kovacs, violin and hurdy-gurdy; Gyula Husi, citera and bass, Geza Kovacs,
kontra and koboz; and Gabor Csikvar, bass, bagpipe, furulya and tambura. Music students will have the opportunity to work closely with band members privately, in small groups and at all proficiency levels.
